⁹A trap seizes him by the heel;
a snare^(A) holds him fast.^(B)

⁹The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

⁴Keep me free from the trap^(A) that is set for me,
for you are my refuge.^(B)

⁴Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

¹²Those who want to kill me set their traps,^(A)
those who would harm me talk of my ruin;^(B)
all day long they scheme and lie.^(C)

¹²They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
