Jeremiah 23:15-17

New International Version

“I will make them eat bitter food
    and drink poisoned water,^(A)
because from the prophets of Jerusalem
    ungodliness^(B) has spread throughout the land.”

“Do not listen^(C) to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
    they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions^(D) from their own minds,
    not from the mouth^(E) of the Lord.
¹⁷ They keep saying^(F) to those who despise me,
    ‘The Lord says: You will have peace.’^(G)
And to all who follow the stubbornness^(H) of their hearts
    they say, ‘No harm^(I) will come to you.’
