19 Therefore thus says the Lord:
(A)“If you return, I will restore you,
and you shall (B)stand before me.
If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless,
you shall be as my mouth.
They shall turn to you,
but you shall not turn to them.
20 (C)And I will make you to this people
    a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you,
(D)but they shall not prevail over you,
(E)for I am with you
to save you and deliver you,
declares the Lord.
21 (F)I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked,
and redeem you from the grasp of (G)the ruthless.”

19 Therefore, this is what the Lord says:
“If you repent, I’ll take you back
and you will stand before me.
If you speak what is worthwhile,[a]
    instead of what is worthless,
then you will be my spokesman.[b]
People[c] will turn to you,
but you aren’t to turn to them.
20 I’ll make you a fortified wall of bronze to this people.
    They’ll fight against you,
but they won’t prevail against you,
for I am with you to save you
        and deliver you,”
21 So I’ll deliver you from the hand of the wicked,
and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”
