New American Standard Bible

10 For (A)that day belongs to the Lord [a]God of armies,
A day of (B)vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes;
And the (C)sword will devour and be satisfied,
And [b]drink its fill of their blood;
For there will be a (D)slaughter for the Lord [c]God of armies,
In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.

New International Version

10 But that day(A) belongs to the Lord, the Lord Almighty—
    a day of vengeance(B), for vengeance on his foes.
The sword will devour(C) till it is satisfied,
    till it has quenched its thirst with blood.(D)
For the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will offer sacrifice(E)
    in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.(F)
