Jeremiah 44:7-9

7 “Now therefore, thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Why do you commit this great evil (A)against yourselves, to cut off from you man and woman, child and infant, out of Judah, leaving none to remain, 8 in that you (B)provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have gone to dwell, that you may cut yourselves off and be (C)a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? 9 Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

7 “Now this is what the Lord God Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Why bring such great disaster(A) on yourselves by cutting off from Judah the men and women,(B) the children and infants, and so leave yourselves without a remnant?(C) 8 Why arouse my anger with what your hands have made,(D) burning incense(E) to other gods in Egypt,(F) where you have come to live?(G) You will destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse[a] and an object of reproach(H) among all the nations on earth. 9 Have you forgotten the wickedness committed by your ancestors(I) and by the kings(J) and queens(K) of Judah and the wickedness committed by you and your wives(L) in the land of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem?(M)
