²⁹ And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city will enter and ^(A)set this city on fire and burn it, with the ^(B)houses where people have offered incense to Baal on their roofs and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke Me to anger.

^3 (A)because of their wickedness which they committed to ^(B)provoke Me to anger by continuing to ^(C)burn ^[a]sacrifices and to ^(D)serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers.

^8 (A)provoking Me to anger with the works of your hands, ^(B)burning ^[a]sacrifices to other gods in the land of Egypt where you are entering to reside, so that you may be eliminated and become a ^(C)curse and a disgrace among all the nations of the earth?
