15 Why (A)do you cry about your affliction?Your sorrow is incurable.Because of the multitude of your iniquities,Because your sins have increased,I have done these things to you.
15 Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure?(A)Because of your great guilt and many sins I have done these things to you.(B)
9 (A)I will bear the indignation of the Lord,Because I have sinned against Him,Until He pleads my (B)caseAnd executes justice for me.He will bring me forth to the light;I will see His righteousness.
9 Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath,(A)until he pleads my case(B) and upholds my cause.He will bring me out into the light;(C) I will see his righteousness.(D)
5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
(A)“My son, do not despise the [a]chastening of the Lord,Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart(A) when he rebukes you,
6 For (A)whom the Lord loves He chastens,And scourges every son whom He receives.”
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,(A) and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a](B)
