²⁷ Kill all her young bulls;^(A)
    let them go down to the slaughter!^(B)
Woe to them! For their day^(C) has come,
    the time^(D) for them to be punished.

²¹ The mercenaries^(A) in her ranks
    are like fattened calves.^(B)
They too will turn and flee^(C) together,
    they will not stand their ground,
for the day^(D) of disaster is coming upon them,
    the time^(E) for them to be punished.

⁷ And the wild oxen^(A) will fall with them,
    the bull calves and the great bulls.^(B)
Their land will be drenched with blood,^(C)
    and the dust will be soaked with fat.

⁴⁴ “Whoever flees^(A) from the terror
    will fall into a pit,
whoever climbs out of the pit
    will be caught in a snare;
for I will bring on Moab
    the year^(B) of her punishment,”
declares the Lord.

¹³ but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
    for he knows their day is coming.^(A)

¹² Many bulls^(A) surround me;^(B)
    strong bulls of Bashan^(C) encircle me.

“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,^(B)
    you mighty city of Babylon!
In one hour^(C) your doom has come!’
