^25 (A)Your iniquities have turned these things away,
And your sins have withheld good from you.

² But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will ^(A)not hear.

^39 (A)Why should a living man ^[a]complain,
^(B)A man for the punishment of his sins?

³ Therefore the ^(A)showers have been withheld,
And there has been no latter rain.
You have had a ^(B)harlot’s forehead;
You refuse to be ashamed.

^17 (A)Have you not brought this on yourself,
In that you have forsaken the Lord your God
When ^(B)He led you in the way?
¹⁸ And now why take ^(C)the road to Egypt,
To drink the waters of ^(D)Sihor?
Or why take the road to ^(E)Assyria,
To drink the waters of ^[a]the River?
¹⁹ Your own wickedness will ^(F)correct you,
And your backslidings will rebuke you.
Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing
That you have forsaken the Lord your God,
And the ^[b]fear of Me is not in you,”
Says the Lord God of hosts.

³⁴ A ^(A)fruitful land into ^[a]barrenness,
For the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
