Do not follow other gods(A) to serve and worship them; do not arouse my anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.”

“But you did not listen to me,” declares the Lord, “and you have aroused(B) my anger with what your hands have made,(C) and you have brought harm(D) to yourselves.”

Therefore the Lord Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words, I will summon(E) all the peoples of the north(F) and my servant(G) Nebuchadnezzar(H) king of Babylon,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. 17 So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent(AF) me drink it: 18 Jerusalem(AG) and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin(AH) and an object of horror and scorn,(AI) a curse[c](AJ)—as they are today;(AK) 19 Pharaoh king(AL) of Egypt,(AM) his attendants, his officials and all his people, 20 and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz;(AN) all the kings of the Philistines(AO) (those of Ashkelon,(AP) Gaza,(AQ) Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod); 21 Edom,(AR) Moab(AS) and Ammon;(AT) 22 all the kings of Tyre(AU) and Sidon;(AV) the kings of the coastlands(AW) across the sea; 23 Dedan,(AX) Tema,(AY) Buz(AZ) and all who are in distant places[d];(BA) 24 all the kings of Arabia(BB) and all the kings of the foreign people(BC) who live in the wilderness; 25 all the kings of Zimri,(BD) Elam(BE) and Media;(BF) 26 and all the kings of the north,(BG) near and far, one after the other—all the kingdoms(BH) on the face of the earth.
