Jeremiah Taken to Egypt

43 When Jeremiah finished speaking to all the people all these words of the Lord their God, with which the Lord their God had sent him to them,

⁸ And when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, then ^(A)the priests and the prophets and all the people laid hold of him, saying, “You shall die!

⁶³ When you finish reading this book, ^(A)(B)tie a stone to it ^(C)and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates,

^22 (A)Now therefore know for a certainty that you shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”

²⁷ for ^(A)I did not shrink from declaring to you ^(B)the whole counsel of God.

²⁰ “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all ^(A)the words of ^(B)this ^(C)Life.”

²⁰ teaching them ^(A)to observe all that ^(B)I have commanded you. And behold, ^(C)I am with you always, to ^(D)the end of the age.”

³ that ^(A)the Lord your God may show us the way we should go, and the thing that we should do.” ⁴ Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the Lord your God according to your request, and ^(B)whatever the Lord answers you I will tell you. ^(C)I will keep nothing back from you.” ⁵ Then they said to Jeremiah, ^(D)“May the Lord be a true and ^(E)faithful witness against us ^(F)if we do not act according to all the word ^(G)with which the Lord your God sends you to us.

² “Thus says the Lord: ^(A)Stand in the court of the Lord's house, and speak to all the cities of Judah that come to worship in the house of the Lord ^(B)all the words that I command you to speak to them; ^(C)do not hold back a word.
