⁵ Afterward the Israelites will return and seek^(A) the Lord their God and David their king.^(B) They will come trembling^(C) to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.^(D)

4 In the last days

¹⁴ Now I have come to explain^(A) to you what will happen to your people in the future,^(B) for the vision concerns a time yet to come.^(C)”

²⁸ but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.^(A) He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come.^(B) Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind^(C) as you were lying in bed^(D) are these:^(E)

¹⁶ You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud^(A) that covers the land.^(B) In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy^(C) through you before their eyes.^(D)

⁵ Then all people will know that I the Lord have drawn my sword^(A) from its sheath; it will not return^(B) again.’^(C)

⁶ “Therefore groan, son of man! Groan before them with broken heart and bitter grief.^{(D) 7} And when they ask you, ‘Why are you groaning?^(E)’ you shall say, ‘Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt with fear^(F) and every hand go limp;^(G) every spirit will become faint^(H) and every leg will be wet with urine.’^(I) It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
