¹³ So I will throw you out of this land^(A) into a land neither you nor your ancestors have known,^(B) and there you will serve other gods^(C) day and night, for I will show you no favor.’^(D)

³⁶ The Lord will drive you and the king^(A) you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors.^(B) There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone.^(C)

²⁶ I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses^(A) against you^(B) this day that you will quickly perish^(C) from the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess. You will not live there long but will certainly be destroyed. ²⁷ The Lord will scatter^(D) you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive^(E) among the nations to which the Lord will drive you. ²⁸ There you will worship man-made gods^(F) of wood and stone,^(G) which cannot see or hear or eat or smell.^(H)

⁴ I will make them abhorrent^(A) to all the kingdoms of the earth^(B) because of what Manasseh^(C) son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
