^8 (A)O you hope of Israel,
    its savior in time of trouble,
why should you be like a stranger in the land,
    like a traveler who turns aside to tarry for a night?

¹³ O Lord, ^(A)the hope of Israel,
    ^(B)all who forsake you shall be put to shame;
those who turn away from you^{[a] (C)}shall be written in the earth,
    for ^(D)they have forsaken ^(E)the Lord, the fountain of living water.

³ For ^(A)I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
^(B)I give Egypt as your ransom,
    Cush and ^(C)Seba in exchange for you.

¹⁵ and ^(A)call upon me in the day of trouble;
    I will ^(B)deliver you, and you shall ^(C)glorify me.”

^21 (A)Declare and present your case;
    let them take counsel together!
Who told this long ago?
    Who declared it of old?
Was it not I, the Lord?
    And there is no other god besides me,
a righteous God ^(B)and a Savior;
    there is none besides me.

^11 (A)I, I am the Lord,
    and besides me there is no savior.
