¹⁷ But if they do not ^(A)obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation,” says the Lord.

⁶ Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who ^[a]are disobedient,

⁸ and

^(D)They stumble, being disobedient to the word, ^(E)to which they also were appointed.

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁷ But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’ ”

The Nations Worship the King

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall ^(A)go up from year to year to ^(B)worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep ^(C)the Feast of Tabernacles. ^17 (D)And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain. ¹⁸ If the family of ^(E)Egypt will not come up and enter in, ^(F)they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. ¹⁹ This shall be the ^[a]punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

⁴ And when he has arisen, ^(A)his kingdom shall be broken up and divided toward the four winds of heaven, but not among his posterity ^(B)nor according to his dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom shall be uprooted, even for others besides these.

⁴ The first was ^(A)like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a ^(B)man’s heart was given to it.

^5 (C)“And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’

⁶ “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had ^(D)four heads, and dominion was given to it.

⁷ “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, ^(E)a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, ^(F)and it had ten horns. ⁸ I was considering the horns, and ^(G)there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes ^(H)of a man, ^(I)and a mouth speaking ^[a]pompous words.
