The Sin of Partiality

2 My brothers,^{[a] (A)}show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, ^(B)the Lord of glory.

²³ These also are sayings of ^(A)the wise.

⁹ But if you ^(A)show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

^19 (A)You shall not pervert justice. ^(B)You shall not show partiality, ^(C)and you shall not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and subverts the cause of the righteous.

^15 (A)“You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

^17 (A)You shall not be partial in judgment. You shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be intimidated by anyone, for ^(B)the judgment is God's. And the case that is too hard for you, you shall ^(C)bring to me, and I will hear it.’

⁷ Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for ^(A)there is no injustice with the Lord our God, ^(B)or partiality or taking bribes.”

¹⁷ But ^(A)the wisdom from above is first pure, then ^(B)peaceable, gentle, open to reason, ^(C)full of mercy and good fruits, ^(D)impartial and ^(E)sincere.
