“You have heard; now see all this;
    and will you not declare it?
From this time forth (A)I announce to you new things,
    hidden things that you have not known.
They are created now, not long ago;
    before today you have never heard of them,
    lest you should say, ‘Behold, I knew them.’
You have never heard, you have never known,
    from of old your ear has not been opened.
For I knew that you would surely deal treacherously,
    and that (B)from before birth you were called a rebel.

(C)“For my name's sake I defer my anger;
    for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you,
    that I may not cut you off.
10 Behold, I have refined you, (D)but not as silver;
    (E)I have tried[a] you in the furnace of affliction.
11 (F)For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it,
    for how should my name[b] be profaned?
    (G)My glory I will not give to another.

  2. Isaiah 48:11 Hebrew lacks my name

You have heard it. Observe it all.
Will you not acknowledge it?
From now on I will announce new things to you,
hidden things that you have not known.(A)
They have been created now, and not long ago;
you have not heard of them before today,
so you could not claim, ‘I already knew them!’
You have never heard; you have never known;
for a long time your ears have not been open.
For I knew that you were very treacherous,
and were known as a rebel from birth.(B)
I will delay my anger for the sake of my name,
and I will restrain myself for your benefit and for my praise,
so that you will not be destroyed.
10 Look, I have refined you,(C) but not as silver;
I have tested[a] you in the furnace of affliction.
11 I will act for my own sake, indeed, my own,(D)
for how can I[b] be defiled?
I will not give my glory to another.(E)
