10 Sing to the Lord a brand new song!

Praise him[a] from the horizon of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it,[b]
you coastlands[c] and those who live there.
11 Let the wilderness and its cities shout out,
the towns where the nomads of Kedar live.
Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully;
let them shout loudly from the mountaintops.
12 Let them give the Lord the honor he deserves;[d]
let them praise his deeds in the coastlands.[e]
13 The Lord emerges like a hero,
like a warrior he inspires himself for battle;[f]
he shouts, yes, he yells,
he shows his enemies his power.[g]

A Hymn of Praise

10 Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise from the end of the earth!
Let the sea roar[a] and all that fills it,
    the coastlands and their inhabitants.(A)
11 Let the desert and its towns lift up their voice,
    the villages that Kedar inhabits;
let the inhabitants of Sela shout for joy;
    let them shout from the tops of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord
    and declare his praise in the coastlands.(B)
13 The Lord goes forth like a soldier;
    like a warrior he stirs up his fury;
he cries out; he shouts aloud;
    he shows himself mighty against his foes.(C)
