⁶ Then those who ^(A)limp will leap like a deer,
And the ^(B)tongue of those who cannot speak will shout for joy.
For waters will burst forth in the ^(C)wilderness,
And streams in the ^[a]desert.
⁷ The ^[b]scorched land will become a pool
And the thirsty ground ^(D)springs of water;
In the ^(E)haunt of jackals, its resting place,
Grass becomes reeds and rushes.

¹⁹ Behold, I am going to do something ^(A)new,
Now it will spring up;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even ^(B)make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.
²⁰ The animals of the field will glorify Me,
The ^(C)jackals and the ostriches,
Because I have ^(D)given waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My chosen people.
