27 Zion will be (A)redeemed with justice
And her [a]repentant ones with righteousness.
28 But [b]transgressors and sinners will be (B)broken together,
And those who forsake Yahweh will come to an end.
29 For [c]you will be ashamed of the [d](C)oaks which you have desired,
And you will be humiliated because of the (D)gardens which you have chosen.
30 For you will be like [e]an oak whose (E)leaf withers away
Or as a garden that has no water.
31 And the strong man will become tinder,
His work also a spark.
Thus they shall both (F)burn together,
And there will be (G)none to quench them.

30 You will be like an oak with withering leaves,
    like a garden without water.
31 The strong will be like dry twigs,
        their deeds like sparks;
    the two will burn together,
    with no one to extinguish them.
