The Wickedness of Judah2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! 4 Alas, sinful nation, 5 Why should you be stricken again? 7 Your country is desolate, 10 Hear the word of the Lord, 12 “When you come to appear before Me, 16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” The Degenerate City21 How the faithful city has become a [k]harlot! 24 Therefore the Lord says, 27 Zion shall be redeemed with justice, The Future House of God2 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days The Day of the Lord5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk 6 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, 10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, 12 For the day of the Lord of hosts 19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks, 20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver 22 Sever[x] yourselves from such a man, Judgment on Judah and Jerusalem3 For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, 4 “I will give children[ab] to be their princes, 6 When a man takes hold of his brother 8 For Jerusalem stumbled, 10 “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, Oppression and Luxury Condemned13 The Lord stands up to [ai]plead, 16 Moreover the Lord says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, 18 In that day the Lord will take away the finery: 24 And so it shall be: Instead of a sweet smell there will be a stench; 26 Her gates shall lament and mourn, Footnotes:
