^2 (A)Listen, heavens, and hear, ^(B)earth;
For the Lord has spoken:
“^(C)Sons I have raised and brought up,
But they have ^(D)revolted against Me.

²³ Your ^(A)rulers are rebels
And companions of thieves;
Everyone ^(B)loves a bribe
And chases after gifts.
They ^(C)do not obtain justice for the ^[a]orphan,
Nor does the widow’s case come before them.

30 “Woe to the ^(A)rebellious children,” declares the Lord,
“Who ^(B)execute a plan, but not Mine,
And ^[a](C)make an alliance, but not of My Spirit,
In order to add sin to sin;

⁹ For this is a ^(A)rebellious people, ^(B)false sons,
Sons who ^[a]refuse to ^(C)listen
To the ^[b]instruction of the Lord;
