⁹ When they ·suffered [were distressed/afflicted], he ·suffered [was distressed/afflicted] also.
    ·He sent his own angel to save them [^LThe angel/messenger of his presence/face saved them; Ex. 14:19].
Because of his love and kindness, he saved them.
    ·Since long ago [^LAll the days of old] he has ·picked [lifted] them up and carried them [Deut. 32:10–12].
