11 (A)Afflicted one, storm-tossed, and (B)not comforted,
Behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
And I will (C)lay your foundations with [a](D)sapphires.
12 Moreover, I will make your battlements of [b]rubies,
And your gates of [c]crystal,
And your entire [d]wall of precious stones.
13 (E)All your sons will be [e]taught by the Lord;
And the well-being of your sons will be (F)great.
14 In (G)righteousness you will be established;
You will be far from (H)oppression, for you will (I)not fear;
And from (J)terror, for it will not come near you.
15 If anyone fiercely attacks you, it will not be from Me.
(K)Whoever attacks you will fall because of you.
16 Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals
And produces a weapon for its work;
And I have created the destroyer to inflict ruin.
17 (L)No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And you will condemn (M)every tongue that [f]accuses you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their (N)vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

The Free Offer of Mercy

55 [g]You there! Everyone who (O)thirsts, come to the waters;
And you who have (P)no [h]money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy (Q)wine and milk
(R)Without money and without cost.
Why do you [i]spend money for what is (S)not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and (T)eat what is good,
And (U)delight yourself in abundance.
(V)Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that [j]you may (W)live;
And I will make (X)an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the (Y)faithful mercies [k]shown to David.
Behold, I have made (Z)him a witness to the peoples,
A (AA)leader and commander for the peoples.
Behold, you will call a (AB)nation you do not know,
And a nation which does not know you will (AC)run to you,
Because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel;
For He has (AD)glorified you.”
