John Testifies About Jesus

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,^(A) who takes away the sin of the world!^(B)

²⁵ Therefore he is able to save^(A) completely^[a] those who come to God^(B) through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.^(C)

²⁶ Such a high priest^(D) truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners,^(E) exalted above the heavens.^{(F) 27} Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices^(G) day after day, first for his own sins,^(H) and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all^(I) when he offered himself.^(J)

¹⁹ but with the precious blood^(A) of Christ, a lamb^(B) without blemish or defect.^(C)

⁶ Then I saw a Lamb,^(A) looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures^(B) and the elders.^(C) The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes,^(D) which are the seven spirits^[a](E) of God sent out into all the earth.
