² On that day the ^(A)Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the ^(B)fruit of the earth will be the pride and the beauty of the ^(C)survivors of Israel.

A Remnant Will Return

²⁰ Now on that day the ^(A)remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob ^(B)who have escaped, will no longer rely on the one who struck them, but will truly ^(C)rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

^28 (A)Those who escape the sword will return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah ^[a](B)few in number. Then all the remnant of Judah who have gone to the land of Egypt to reside there will know ^(C)whose word will stand, Mine or theirs.

²⁷ Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “^(A)Though the number of the sons of Israel may be ^(B)like the sand of the sea, only ^(C)the remnant will be saved;
