7 in that day shall he lift up his voice, saying, I will not be [a]a healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: ye shall not make me ruler of the people. 8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen; because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory. 9 [b]The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. 8 Jerusalem staggers,
Judah is falling;(E)
their words(F) and deeds(G) are against the Lord,
defying(H) his glorious presence.
9 The look on their faces testifies(I) against them;
they parade their sin like Sodom;(J)
they do not hide it.
Woe to them!
They have brought disaster(K) upon themselves.
