¹¹ For as the soil makes the sprout come up
    and a garden^(A) causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness^(B)
    and praise spring up before all nations.

¹⁸ No longer will violence^(A) be heard in your land,
    nor ruin or destruction^(B) within your borders,
but you will call your walls Salvation^(C)
    and your gates Praise.^(D)

¹¹ The Lord will guide^(A) you always;
    he will satisfy your needs^(B) in a sun-scorched land^(C)
    and will strengthen^(D) your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,^(E)
    like a spring^(F) whose waters never fail.

¹⁰ As the rain^(A) and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,^(B)
    so that it yields seed^(C) for the sower and bread for the eater,^(D)
11 so is my word^(E) that goes out from my mouth:
    It will not return to me empty,^(F)
but will accomplish what I desire
    and achieve the purpose^(G) for which I sent it.

⁷ and give him no rest^(A) till he establishes Jerusalem
    and makes her the praise^(B) of the earth.

⁸ “You heavens above, rain^(A) down my righteousness;^(B)
    let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
    let salvation^(C) spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
    I, the Lord, have created it.
