¹⁵ For this is what the high and exalted^(A) One says—
    he who lives forever,^(B) whose name is holy:
“I live in a high^(C) and holy place,
    but also with the one who is contrite^(D) and lowly in spirit,^(E)
to revive the spirit of the lowly
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.^(F)

¹⁸ The Lord is close^(A) to the brokenhearted^(B)
    and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

⁶ Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;^(A)
    though lofty, he sees them^(B) from afar.

“Heaven is my throne,^(A)
    and the earth is my footstool.^(B)
Where is the house^(C) you will build for me?
    Where will my resting place be?
² Has not my hand made all these things,^(D)
    and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.

“These are the ones I look on with favor:
    those who are humble and contrite in spirit,^(E)
    and who tremble at my word.^(F)

³ He heals the brokenhearted^(A)
    and binds up their wounds.^(B)

¹¹ Who among the gods
    is like you,^(A) Lord?
Who is like you—
    majestic in holiness,^(B)
awesome in glory,^(C)
    working wonders?^(D)

²⁸ Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?^(A)
The Lord is the everlasting^(B) God,
    the Creator^(C) of the ends of the earth.^(D)
He will not grow tired or weary,^(E)
    and his understanding no one can fathom.^(F)

His dominion is an eternal dominion;
    his kingdom^(C) endures from generation to generation.^(D)

⁴ The Lord is exalted^(A) over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.^(B)
5 Who is like the Lord our God,^(C)
    the One who sits enthroned^(D) on high,^(E)
6 who stoops down to look^(F)
    on the heavens and the earth?
