⁶ Seek^(A) the Lord while he may be found;^(B)
    call^(C) on him while he is near.

¹⁹ I have not spoken in secret,^(A)
    from somewhere in a land of darkness;^(B)
I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,^(C)
    ‘Seek^(D) me in vain.’
I, the Lord, speak the truth;
    I declare what is right.^(E)

⁶ Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;^(A)
surely the rising^(B) of the mighty waters^(C)
    will not reach them.^(D)

¹⁸ The Lord is near^(A) to all who call on him,^(B)
    to all who call on him in truth.

⁶ Seek^(A) the Lord and live,^(B)
    or he will sweep through the tribes of Joseph like a fire;^(C)
it will devour them,
    and Bethel^(D) will have no one to quench it.^(E)

² The Lord looks down from heaven^(A)
    on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,^(B)
    any who seek God.^(C)

²⁴ Before they call^(A) I will answer;^(B)
    while they are still speaking^(C) I will hear.
