Avoid Worldly Wisdom

^18 (A)Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, ^(B)“He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; ²⁰ and again, ^(C)“The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

^16 (A)Be of the same mind toward one another. ^(B)Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

²⁵ For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be ^(A)wise in your own ^[a]opinion, that ^(B)blindness in part has happened to Israel ^(C)until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

^22 (A)Professing to be wise, they became fools,

⁴¹ Jesus said to them, ^(A)“If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
