^18 (A)In that day there will be ^(B)five cities in the land of Egypt that ^(C)speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts. One of these will be called the City of Destruction.^[a]

The Conversion of the Nations

^11 (A)And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. ^(B)And I will dwell in your midst, and ^(C)you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

^21 (A)And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day ^(B)and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them.

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, ^(A)to swear by my name, ‘As the Lord lives,’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, ^(B)then they shall be built up in the midst of my people.

^11 (A)In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, ^(B)from Assyria, ^(C)from Egypt, from ^(D)Pathros, from ^(E)Cush,^[a] from ^(F)Elam, from ^(G)Shinar, from ^(H)Hamath, and from ^(I)the coastlands of the sea.

¹³ And in that day ^(A)a great trumpet will be blown, ^(B)and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt ^(C)will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

¹⁹ In that day there will be an ^(A)altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a ^(B)pillar to the Lord at its border.
