²⁴ Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”^(A)

¹⁵ You judge by human standards;^(A) I pass judgment on no one.^{(B) 16} But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.^(C)

¹⁴ But solid food is for the mature,^(A) who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.^(B)

⁹ And this is my prayer: that your love^(A) may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,^{(B) 10} so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,^(C)

¹³ This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom^(A) but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.^{[a] 14} The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God^(B) but considers them foolishness,^(C) and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. ¹⁵ The person with the Spirit^(D) makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,
