21 Gwedi’r pethau hyn, yr Iesu a ymddangosodd drachefn i’w ddisgyblion wrth fôr Tiberias: ac fel hyn yr ymddangosodd. Yr oedd ynghyd Simon Pedr, a Thomas yr hwn a elwir Didymus, a Nathanael o Gana yng Ngalilea, a meibion Sebedeus, a dau eraill o’i ddisgyblion ef. Dywedodd Simon Pedr wrthynt, Yr wyf fi yn myned i bysgota. Dywedasant wrtho, Yr ydym ninnau hefyd yn dyfod gyda thi. A hwy a aethant allan, ac a ddringasant i long yn y man: a’r nos honno ni ddaliasant ddim. A phan ddaeth y bore weithian, safodd yr Iesu ar y lan; eithr y disgyblion ni wyddent mai yr Iesu ydoedd. Yna yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, O blant, a oes gennych ddim bwyd? Hwythau a atebasant iddo, Nac oes. Yntau a ddywedodd wrthynt, Bwriwch y rhwyd i’r tu deau i’r llong, a chwi a gewch. Hwy a fwriasant gan hynny; ac ni allent bellach ei thynnu, gan y lliaws pysgod. Am hynny y disgybl hwnnw yr oedd yr Iesu yn ei garu a ddywedodd wrth Pedr, Yr Arglwydd yw. Yna Simon Pedr, pan glybu mai yr Arglwydd oedd, a wregysodd ei amwisg, (canys noeth oedd efe,) ac a’i bwriodd ei hun i’r môr. Eithr y disgyblion eraill a ddaethant mewn llong (oblegid nid oeddynt bell oddi wrth dir, ond megis dau can cufydd,) dan lusgo’r rhwyd â’r pysgod. A chyn gynted ag y daethant i dir, hwy a welent dân o farwor wedi ei osod, a physgod wedi eu dodi arno, a bara. 10 Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, Dygwch o’r pysgod a ddaliasoch yr awron. 11 Simon Pedr a esgynnodd, ac a dynnodd y rhwyd i dir, yn llawn o bysgod mawrion, cant a thri ar ddeg a deugain: ac er bod cymaint, ni thorrodd y rhwyd. 12 Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrthynt, Deuwch, ciniewch. Eithr ni feiddiai neb o’r disgyblion ofyn iddo, Pwy wyt ti? am eu bod yn gwybod mai yr Arglwydd oedd. 13 Yna y daeth yr Iesu, ac a gymerth fara, ac a’i rhoddes iddynt, a’r pysgod yr un modd. 14 Y drydedd waith hon yn awr yr ymddangosodd yr Iesu i’w ddisgyblion, wedi iddo gyfodi o feirw.

15 Yna gwedi iddynt giniawa, yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrth Simon Pedr, Simon mab Jona, a wyt ti yn fy ngharu i yn fwy na’r rhai hyn? Dywedodd yntau wrtho, Ydwyf, Arglwydd; ti a wyddost fy mod yn dy garu di. Dywedodd yntau wrtho, Portha fy ŵyn. 16 Efe a ddywedodd wrtho drachefn yr ail waith, Simon mab Jona, a wyt ti yn fy ngharu i? Dywedodd yntau wrtho, Ydwyf, Arglwydd; ti a wyddost fy mod yn dy garu di. Dywedodd yntau wrtho, Bugeilia fy nefaid. 17 Efe a ddywedodd wrtho’r drydedd waith, Simon mab Jona, a wyt ti yn fy ngharu i? Pedr a dristaodd am iddo ddywedyd wrtho y drydedd waith, A wyt ti yn fy ngharu i? Ac efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Arglwydd, ti a wyddost bob peth; ti a wyddost fy mod i yn dy garu di. Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Portha fy nefaid. 18 Yn wir, yn wir, meddaf i ti, Pan oeddit ieuanc, ti a’th wregysaist dy hun, ac a rodiaist lle y mynnaist: eithr pan elech yn hen, ti a estynni dy ddwylo, ac arall a’th wregysa, ac a’th arwain lle ni fynnit. 19 A hyn a ddywedodd efe, gan arwyddo trwy ba fath angau y gogoneddai efe Dduw. Ac wedi iddo ddywedyd hyn, efe a ddywedodd wrtho, Canlyn fi.

20 A Phedr a drodd, ac a welodd y disgybl yr oedd yr Iesu yn ei garu, yn canlyn, (yr hwn hefyd a bwysasai ar ei ddwyfron ef ar swper, ac a ddywedasai, Pwy, Arglwydd, yw’r hwn a’th fradycha di?) 21 Pan welodd Pedr hwn, efe a ddywedodd wrth yr Iesu, Arglwydd, ond beth a wna hwn? 22 Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Os mynnaf iddo aros hyd oni ddelwyf, beth yw hynny i ti? canlyn di fyfi. 23 Am hynny yr aeth y gair yma allan ymhlith y brodyr, na fyddai’r disgybl hwnnw farw: ac ni ddywedasai yr Iesu wrtho na fyddai efe farw; ond, Os mynnaf iddo aros hyd oni ddelwyf, beth yw hynny i ti? 24 Hwn yw’r disgybl sydd yn tystiolaethu am y pethau hyn, ac a ysgrifennodd y pethau hyn; ac ni a wyddom fod ei dystiolaeth ef yn wir. 25 Ac y mae hefyd lawer o bethau eraill a wnaeth yr Iesu, y rhai ped ysgrifennid hwy bob yn un ac un, nid wyf yn tybied y cynhwysai’r byd y llyfrau a ysgrifennid. Amen.

Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish

21 Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples,(A) by the Sea of Galilee.[a](B) It happened this way: Simon Peter, Thomas(C) (also known as Didymus[b]), Nathanael(D) from Cana in Galilee,(E) the sons of Zebedee,(F) and two other disciples were together. “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.(G)

Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus.(H)

He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?”

“No,” they answered.

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.(I)

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved(J) said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.[c] When they landed, they saw a fire(K) of burning coals there with fish on it,(L) and some bread.

10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.(M) 14 This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples(N) after he was raised from the dead.

Jesus Reinstates Peter

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”(O)

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”(P)

16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”(Q)

17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?”(R) He said, “Lord, you know all things;(S) you know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.(T) 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death(U) by which Peter would glorify God.(V) Then he said to him, “Follow me!”(W)

20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved(X) was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”)(Y) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”

22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return,(Z) what is that to you? You must follow me.”(AA) 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers(AB) that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?”

24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things(AC) and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.(AD)

25 Jesus did many other things as well.(AE) If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
