Hosea 14:4-8
English Standard Version
4 I (A)will heal their apostasy;
(B)I will love them freely,
for my anger has turned from them.
5 (C)I will be like the dew to Israel;
(D)he shall blossom like the lily;
he shall take root like the trees (E)of Lebanon;
6 his shoots shall spread out;
his beauty shall be (F)like the olive,
and his fragrance like Lebanon.
7 They shall return and (G)dwell beneath my[a] shadow;
they shall flourish like the grain;
they shall blossom like the vine;
their fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 O (H)Ephraim, what have I to do with idols?
It is I who answer and look after you.[b]
I am like an evergreen cypress;
(I)from me comes your fruit.

I will love them freely,
for my anger has turned from them.
5 I will be as the dew to Israel;
he shall blossom as the lily,
he shall strike root as the poplar;[a]
6 his shoots shall spread out;
his beauty shall be like the olive,
and his fragrance like Lebanon.
7 They shall return and dwell beneath my[b] shadow,
they shall flourish as a garden;[c]
they shall blossom as the vine,
their fragrance shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
8 O E′phraim, what have I to do with idols?
It is I who answer and look after you.[d]
I am like an evergreen cypress,
from me comes your fruit.
