³ So he went and took Gomer daughter of Diblaim,
    and she conceived and bore him a son.

⁴ And Yahweh said to him,
“Name him^[a] Jezreel;^[b]
    because in a little while I will punish^[c] the house of Jehu^[d]
    for the blood^[e] of Jezreel,^[f]
        and I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel.^[g]

⁹ And he^[a] said, “Name him^[b] Lo-ammi,^[c]
    for you are not my people
    and I am not your God.^[d]

2 Say to your brother,^[a] “Ammi,”^[b]
and to your sister,^[c] “Ruhamah.”^[d]
