²⁵ As he says in Hosea:

²⁶ and,

⁹ But you are a chosen people,^(A) a royal priesthood,^(B) a holy nation,^(C) God’s special possession,^(D) that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.^{(E) 10} Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God;^(F) once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,^(A)

⁹ Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.^[a](A)

¹⁰ “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted.^(B) In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’^(C)

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them.^(A) They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.^{(B) 4} ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes.^(C) There will be no more death’^[a](D) or mourning or crying or pain,^(E) for the old order of things has passed away.”^(F)

²² And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him.”^(A)

²³ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”^(B)

¹¹ “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people.^(A) I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.^(B)
