²⁵ As indeed he says in Hosea,

⁹ But you are ^(A)a chosen race, ^(B)a royal ^(C)priesthood, ^(D)a holy nation, ^(E)a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^(F)out of darkness into ^(G)his marvelous light. ^10 (H)Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

²⁹ Or ^(A)is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

⁹ And the Lord said, ^(A)“Call his name Not My People,^[a] for ^(B)you are not my people, and I am not your God.”^[b]

^10 [c] Yet ^(C)the number of the children of Israel shall be ^(D)like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. ^(E)And ^(F)in the place where it was said to them, ^(G)“You are not my people,” it shall be said to them, ^(H)“Children^[d] of ^(I)the living God.”

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, ^(A)the dwelling place^[a] of God is with man. He will ^(B)dwell with them, and they will be his people,^[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.^{[c] 4 (C)}He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and ^(D)death shall be no more, ^(E)neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

^17 (A)You have declared today that the Lord is your God, and that you will walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his rules, and will obey his voice. ¹⁸ And the Lord has declared today that you are ^(B)a people for his treasured possession, as he has promised you, and that you are to keep all his commandments, ¹⁹ and that he will set you in praise and in fame and in honor ^(C)high above all nations ^(D)that he has made, and that you shall be ^(E)a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”
