7 Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.(A) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(B) 9 Don’t be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established by grace and not by foods, since those involved in them have not benefited.(C) 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle do not have a right to eat.(D) 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the most holy place by the high priest(E) as a sin offering are burned outside the camp.(F) 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate,(G) so that He might sanctify[a] the people by His own blood. 13 Let us then go to Him outside the camp, bearing His disgrace.(H) 14 For we do not have an enduring city here; instead, we seek the one to come.(I) 15 Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name.(J) 16 Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.(K) 17 Obey your leaders[b] and submit to them, for they keep watch(L) over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. 18 Pray for us; for we are convinced that we have a clear conscience, wanting to conduct ourselves honorably in everything.(M) 19 And I especially urge you to pray[c] that I may be restored to you very soon.
Benediction and Farewell
20 Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus—the great Shepherd of the sheep(N)—with the blood of the everlasting covenant,(O) 21 equip[d] you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever.[e](P) Amen.
22 Brothers, I urge you to receive this message of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. 23 Be aware that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon enough, he will be with me when I see you. 24 Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who are from Italy greet you. 25 Grace be with all of you.(Q)

7 Remember your leaders,(A) who spoke the word of God(B) to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate(C) their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.(D)
9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.(E) It is good for our hearts to be strengthened(F) by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods,(G) which is of no benefit to those who do so.(H) 10 We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle(I) have no right to eat.(J)
11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering,(K) but the bodies are burned outside the camp.(L) 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate(M) to make the people holy(N) through his own blood.(O) 13 Let us, then, go to him(P) outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.(Q) 14 For here we do not have an enduring city,(R) but we are looking for the city that is to come.(S)
15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice(T) of praise—the fruit of lips(U) that openly profess his name. 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others,(V) for with such sacrifices(W) God is pleased.
17 Have confidence in your leaders(X) and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you(Y) as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
18 Pray for us.(Z) We are sure that we have a clear conscience(AA) and desire to live honorably in every way. 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.(AB)
Benediction and Final Greetings
20 Now may the God of peace,(AC) who through the blood of the eternal covenant(AD) brought back from the dead(AE) our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,(AF) 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will,(AG) and may he work in us(AH) what is pleasing to him,(AI) through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(AJ)
22 Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly.(AK)
23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy(AL) has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.
24 Greet all your leaders(AM) and all the Lord’s people. Those from Italy(AN) send you their greetings.
25 Grace be with you all.(AO)
