⁵ and ^(A)above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

² and the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother ^(A)not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for ^(B)I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.

^17 (A)“You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits shall be its length and a cubit and a half its width. ¹⁸ And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat. ¹⁹ Make one cherub at one end, and the other cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim at the two ends of it of one piece with the mercy seat. ²⁰ And ^(B)the cherubim shall stretch out their wings above, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and they shall face one another; the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. ^21 (C)You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and ^(D)in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you. ²² And ^(E)there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from ^(F)between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

⁶ Then the priests ^(A)brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to ^(B)its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place, ^(C)under the wings of the cherubim. ⁷ For the cherubim spread their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles.

⁸⁹ Now when Moses went into the tabernacle of meeting ^(A)to speak with Him, he heard ^(B)the voice of One speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from ^(C)between the two cherubim; thus He spoke to him.

¹² To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to ^[a]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which ^(A)angels desire to look into.

^16 (A)Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

^10 (A)to the intent that now ^(B)the ^[a]manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church ^(C)to the ^[b]principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
