⁵ who serve ^(A)the copy and ^(B)shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For He said, ^(C)“See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient

10 For the law, having a ^(A)shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, ^(B)can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.

^17 (A)which are a shadow of things to come, but the ^[a]substance is of Christ.

⁴⁰ And ^(A)see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.

Hear the Heavenly Voice

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For ^(A)if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

⁷ By faith ^(A)Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, ^(B)prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of ^(C)the righteousness which is according to faith.

Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice

²³ Therefore it was necessary that ^(A)the copies of the things in the heavens should be ^[a]purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. ²⁴ For ^(B)Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are ^[b]copies of ^(C)the true, but into heaven itself, now ^(D)to appear in the presence of God for us;

⁹ It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered ^(A)which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience—

God’s True Tabernacle

⁴⁴ “Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses ^(A)to make it according to the pattern that he had seen,

¹⁹ “All this,” said David, ^(A)“the Lord made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the ^[a]works of these plans.”
