¹¹ Both the one who makes people holy^(A) and those who are made holy^(B) are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.^[a](C)

¹⁴ For by one sacrifice he has made perfect^(A) forever those who are being made holy.^(B)

¹⁰ And by that will, we have been made holy^(A) through the sacrifice of the body^(B) of Jesus Christ once for all.^(C)

¹⁷ Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers^(A) and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father^(B) and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

¹² And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate^(A) to make the people holy^(B) through his own blood.^(C)

²⁹ For those God foreknew^(A) he also predestined^(B) to be conformed to the image of his Son,^(C) that he might be the firstborn^(D) among many brothers and sisters.

⁴⁸ He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” ⁴⁹ Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. ⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven^(A) is my brother and sister and mother.”
