By Faith

11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of ^(A)things not seen.

⁷ for ^(A)we walk by faith, not ^(B)by sight.

^18 (A)as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

²⁴ For ^(A)in this hope we were saved. Now ^(B)hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, we ^(C)wait for it with patience.

⁷ By faith ^(A)Noah, being warned by God concerning ^(B)events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of ^(C)the righteousness that comes by faith.

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts ^(A)sprinkled clean ^(B)from an evil conscience and our bodies ^(C)washed with pure water.

¹⁸ so that by two unchangeable things, in which ^(A)it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope ^(B)set before us. ¹⁹ We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into ^(C)the inner place behind the curtain,

⁷ so that ^(A)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes ^(B)though it is tested by ^(C)fire—may be found to result in ^(D)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. ^8 (E)Though you have not seen him, you love him. ^(F)Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,

²⁷ By faith he ^(A)left Egypt, ^(B)not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured ^(C)as seeing him who is invisible.

¹² so that you may not be sluggish, but ^(A)imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
