⁴ And Abel also presented an offering—some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions.^(A) The Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,^(B)

¹² unlike Cain,^(A) who was of the evil one^(B) and murdered^[a] his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil, and his brother’s were righteous.
