Genesis 2:8-10 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
8 The Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east,[a] and placed there the man whom he had formed. 9 [b]Out of the ground the Lord God made grow every tree that was delightful to look at and good for food, with the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river rises in Eden[c] to water the garden; beyond there it divides and becomes four branches.
Genesis 2:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters.
