¹² Then the two men said to Lot, “Whom else do you have here? A son-in-law and your sons and daughters, and whomever you have in the city, bring them out of the place; ¹³ for we are about to destroy this place, because ^(A)their outcry has become so great before the Lord that ^(B)the Lord has sent us to destroy it.” ¹⁴ So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who ^[a]were to marry his daughters, and said, “Up, ^(C)get out of this place, for the Lord is destroying the city.” ^(D)But he appeared to his sons-in-law ^[b]to be joking.

Plague Sent

¹⁵ So ^(A)the Lord ^[a]sent a plague upon Israel from the morning until the appointed time, and seventy thousand men of the people ^(B)from Dan to Beersheba died. ^16 (C)When the angel extended his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, ^(D)the Lord relented of the disaster and said to the angel who destroyed the people, “It is enough! Now drop your hand!” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

The Seventh Seal: Trumpets

8 When the Lamb broke the ^(A)seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. ² And I saw ^(B)the seven angels who stand before God, and seven ^(C)trumpets were given to them.

^6 (A)And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.

²⁰ The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, ^(A)did not repent of ^(B)the works of their hands so as not to ^(C)worship demons and ^(D)the idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; ²¹ and they ^(E)did not repent of their murders, nor of their ^(F)witchcraft, nor of their ^(G)sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.

The Seventh Trumpet: Christ’s Reign Foreseen

¹⁵ Then the ^(A)seventh angel sounded; and there were ^(B)loud voices in heaven, saying,

“^(C)The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of ^(D)His ^[a]Christ; and ^(E)He will reign forever and ever.”

¹⁷ And another angel ^(A)came out of the ^[a]temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ Then another angel, ^(B)the one who has power over fire, came out from ^(C)the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “^[b](D)Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters ^[c]from the vine of the earth, ^(E)because her grapes are ripe.” ¹⁹ So the angel ^[d]swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into ^(F)the great wine press of the wrath of God. ²⁰ And ^(G)the wine press was trampled ^(H)outside the city, and ^(I)blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, ^[e]for a distance of ^[f]1,600 stadia.

^41 (A)The Son of Man ^(B)will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom ^[a]all ^(C)stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, ⁴² and they ^(D)will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place ^(E)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
