^5 (A)You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am ^(B)a jealous God, ^(C)visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

^7 (A)Keep far from a false charge, and ^(B)do not kill the innocent and righteous, for ^(C)I will not acquit the wicked.

⁴ Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: ^(A)the soul who sins shall die.

⁶ since indeed God considers it ^(A)just ^(B)to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
