⁵ And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward the heavens and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” ⁶ And he believed in Yahweh, and he reckoned it to him as righteousness.

¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he considered his own body as good as dead, ^[a] because he^[b] was approximately a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. ²⁰ And he did not waver in unbelief at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God

¹⁷ By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered Isaac, and the one who received the promises was ready to offer his one and only son, ¹⁸ with reference to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants will be named,”^{[a] 19} having reasoned that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which he received him back also as a symbol.
