²¹ And the Lord smelled ^(A)a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again ^(B)curse the ground for man’s sake, although the ^(C)imagination^[a] of man’s heart is evil from his youth; ^(D)nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

¹⁵ For we are to God the fragrance of Christ ^(A)among those who are being saved and ^(B)among those who are perishing.

⁵ Then ^[a]the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every ^(A)intent^[b] of the thoughts of his heart was only evil ^[c]continually.

¹⁸ Indeed I ^[a]have all and abound. I am full, having received from ^(A)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, ^(B)a sweet-smelling aroma, ^(C)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God ^(C)for a sweet-smelling aroma.

^6 (A)by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. ⁷ But ^(B)the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for ^(C)fire until the day of judgment and ^[a]perdition of ungodly men.

²³ for ^(A)all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

^19 (A)For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
