¹¹ And Israel said to Joseph, ^(A)“I never expected to see your face; and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”

^20 (A)Now to ^(B)him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, ^(C)according to the power at work within us,

²⁶ And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.

³⁶ And Jacob their father said to them, “You have ^(A)bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and now you would take Benjamin. All this has come against me.”

³⁵ All his sons and all his daughters ^(A)rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted and said, “No, ^(B)I shall go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” Thus his father wept for him.

³³ And he identified it and said, “It is my son's robe. ^(A)A fierce animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn to pieces.”
